Those in Luxembourg know Dietrich Claus quite well, for he is the local auctioneer of trees on Christmas Eve. He makes certain everyone has a good time at the auction by cracking joke after joke. His faithful companion, Husky Hans, pulls the trees on a sled to the highest bidder. He is rewarded handsomely in the way of affection from the children.
