Wenceslas Claus (Czech Republic)
Released: 1997
Story:
Good King Wenceslas lived in the 10th century in the Bohemian Forest near Prague in what is now the Czech Republic. In those days the common people were prohibited from cutting firewood in the forests, so King Wenceslas spent many days every December cutting firewood for the people as Christmas presents to them. For good luck he always included a ladybug with each bundle of firewood. Wenceslas was known throughout the land as a good king and the ladybugs liked him a lot.
